Baseball Recap: Chamberlain Triumphs

The Chamberlain Storm had just enough and edged out the Morgan Mustangs 4-2 on Tuesday.

Yenderzon Ruiz looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Brennen Kay, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. Xavier Ether was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Chamberlain has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-10 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Morgan, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-15.

Coming up, Chamberlain will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Zephyrhills at 7:00 p.m. As for Morgan, they will head out to take on Parrish Community at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
