Baseball Recap: Greenup County Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Greenup County put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against the Huntington Highlanders by a score of 10-5. This was payback for the Musketeers, who suffered a 10-2 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Luke Boggs made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Boggs was also big at the plate, scoring three runs while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Ty Logan was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

Greenup County's victory bumped their record up to 3-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Greenup County will take on Lexington Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lexington Catholic is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.8 runs per game this season. As for Huntington, they will face off against South Charleston at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The contest will give South Charleston their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season.
