Volleyball Recap: Poway Gets the Win + How To Watch

The Poway Titans had just enough and edged out the Oceanside Pirates 3-2 on Wednesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Titans.

Poway had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 20-25, 24-26, 25-20, 25-20, 15-12.

Among those leading the charge was Abby Kroepel, who had 31 digs and three aces. Those 31 digs gave her a new career-high. Capria Puglisi also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: Poway was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. They are 4-1 when they serve at least ten aces.

Oceanside's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Ella Mendez, who had 12 digs and two aces, and Alyssa Rivera, who had ten assists.

Poway's record now sits at 9-15. As for Oceanside, their loss ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-9.

Poway has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Mission Hills on the 26th. As for Oceanside, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Olympian on the 25th.
