Football Recap: Gulliver Prep Raiders vs. St. Brendan Sabres
It was a good run, but Gulliver Prep unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the St. Brendan Sabres by a score of 24-21. The Raiders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Sabres apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2023.
Nathan Avael had an outrageously good game for St. Brendan as he rushed for 163 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.6 yards per carry. Avael's longest rush was for an incredible 80 yards. Nick Castro also helped out with an impressive 123 receiving yards.
Gulliver Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for St. Brendan, they moved to 4-6 with that win, which also ended their five-game losing streak.
As of now, neither Gulliver Prep nor St. Brendan have any future games scheduled.
