St. Stephens will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs on Tuesday, then bounced right back against Newton-Conover on Wednesday. The Indians won by a run and slipped past the Red Devils 10-9. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Indians have posted since April 10, 2024.

East Lincoln hit West Iredell with a four-run fifth inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Warriors lost 7-1 to the Mustangs. The loss continues a trend for the Warriors in their meetings with the Mustangs: they've now lost eight in a row.

West Iredell's defeat dropped their record down to 8-12. As for St. Stephens, their win bumped their record up to 13-7.

Everything went St. Stephens' way against West Iredell in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as St. Stephens made off with a 10-3 victory. Will the Indians repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
