Soccer Game Preview: Perkiomen Valley vs. East

Perkiomen Valley will venture away from home to take on East at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Things were looking good for Perkiomen Valley after they put the first goal on the board on Thursday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell just short of Owen J. Roberts by a score of 2-1.

Meanwhile, East came up short against Bishop Shanahan on Wednesday and fell 3-1. While losing is never fun, East can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 287th, while Bishop Shanahan are ranked 42nd).

Perkiomen Valley now has a losing record of 6-7-2. As for East, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-7-3.

Perkiomen Valley was able to grind out a solid win over East in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Perkiomen Valley since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
