Softball Recap: Tully Takes a Loss

Tully extended their losing streak to three on Saturday, dropping their season record down to 3-6 in the process. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the McGraw Eagles. The game marked the Black Knights' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

As for McGraw, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 8-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win they have posted since May 21, 2024.

For McGraw's part, Remington Stull spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits and racked up nine Ks.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Leah Terwilliger, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Katie Millard, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Coming up, Tully will venture away from home to take on Bishop Ludden at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for McGraw, they will welcome Homer at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
