Valley Christian never let their opponents score on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 14-0 margin over the Legend Titans. The Trojans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by six runs or more this season.

Devin Morganfield looked comfortable as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over four innings pitched. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single earned run, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in April of 2024.

On the hitting side, Carson Grier and Caleb Danzeisen did most of the damage at the plate: Grier got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one triple, one run, and one RBI, while Danzeisen scored a run while going 3-for-3. That triple was Grier's first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Van Egdom, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.

Valley Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .533. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Legend only posted an OBP of .276.

Valley Christian's victory bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Legend, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Valley Christian will be taking part in a tournament against Sunset at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Legend, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Eaglecrest at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
