Basketball Game Preview: Franklin Admirals vs. Marshall County Tigers

The Franklin Admirals will challenge the Marshall County Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Franklin has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the matchup with three straight losses, while Marshall County will come in with four straight wins.

Franklin's tournament run continued when they took on Macon County on Saturday. Franklin fell to Macon County 67-62.

Meanwhile, the stars were shining brightly for Marshall County in a 41-24 victory over Culleoka last Friday. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 163rd, while the Warriors are ranked 332nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Marshall County had a senior duo take command as Mashawna Ridley posted 17 points and eight rebounds and Maggie Steely put up 12 points.

Franklin's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Marshall County, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.
