Baseball Recap: Attica Comes Up Short

Attica lost to Notre Dame back in April of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Blue Devils fell 11-6 to the Fighting Irish. The Blue Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ben Wild put in work no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed 4.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. Wild was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one stolen base.

In other batting news, Justin Stockweather was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and two runs. Attica is 3-1 when Stockweather posts two or more runs, but 0-5 otherwise.

Attica's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Notre Dame, they pushed their record up to 5-0 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Coming up, Attica will head out to face off against Le Roy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Notre Dame, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Mendon at 5:00 p.m. The Vikings' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Fighting Irish's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
