While losing is never fun, South Johnston can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 418th, while Fike are ranked 108th).

The loss snapped C.B. Aycock's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 6-6-1 record. As for South Johnston, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-9.
