Domani Jackson, CJ Williams, Omari Abor, Jaylen Early lead list of star power in MaxPreps Top 25 showdown.

When No. 1 Mater Dei (Santa Ana, Calif.) takes the field Friday against No. 13 Duncanville (Texas) in one of the biggest high school football games of the year there will be more than 40 players with FBS offers on the field. The game will be streamed exclusively on FloSports or you can follow the game live on MaxPreps

There are 44 players from both teams that are at least a three-star recruit or have at least one FBS offer. Each team has one five-star recruit: Mater Dei's  Domani Jackson is a 2022 USC commit and the fifth-rated player overall and No. 1 cornerback; Dunvanville's Omari Abor is the 18th-rated player overall in the Class of 2022 and No. 2 edge rusher.

How these top recruits play, and who wins, will have national-ranking implications as a quality early season win helps down the road. A victory also comes with bragging rights in the Texas vs. California debate. No. 3 St. John Bosco (Bellflower, Calif.) started the season last week with a big out-of-state victory, beating Miami Central 35-12 in its opener.

De La Salle (Concord, Calif.) was the last nationall ranked team from the Golden State to visit Texas, falling 26-21 to an unranked Trinity (Euless, Texas) team in the season opener.
