Baseball Recap: Bland Comes Up Short

Bland fell victim to Wolfe City and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 9-0 to the Wolves. The Tigers have struggled against the Wolves recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.

Bland saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Matthew Leblanc, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases. Leblanc is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Bland's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Wolfe City, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-7.

While Bland had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
