Volleyball Recap: Fresno Christian Beats Kingsburg for Their Fourth Straight Win

Fresno Christian entered their tilt with Kingsburg on Thursday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They came out on top against the Vikings by a score of 3-1. The Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Vikings, too.

The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-16, 22-25, 25-22.

Fresno Christian was led to victory by Jordyn Degroot and Petraeus Draper. Degroot had 70 kills, nine digs, and two blocks, while Draper had 35 digs and two aces. Those 70 kills gave Degroot a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Aryannah Frabotta, who had 12 assists and seven digs.

Fresno Christian's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Kingsburg, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fresno Christian will square off against San Joaquin Memorial at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Kingsburg, they will face off against Redwood at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
