Soccer Game Preview: Virginia Academy vs. Fredericksburg Academy

Virginia Academy is looking to tack another W on to their season record, something they couldn't quite do against Seton on Tuesday. The two teams finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw.

Meanwhile, Fredericksburg Academy faced Immanuel Christian in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Falcons sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Warriors. The win was familiar territory for Fredericksburg Academy, who have now won three matchups in a row.

Fredericksburg Academy's victory bumped their record up to 8-2. Virginia Academy's draw gives them a new season record of 3-8-1.

Everything went Virginia Academy's way against Fredericksburg Academy in their previous matchup back in November of 2023, as Virginia Academy made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Patriots since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
