Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Borden). They were the clear victors by a 17-1 margin over the New Washington Mustangs on Wednesday. The Braves might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by six runs or more this season.
Emma Hart made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two doubles, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in May of 2024.
In other batting news, Borden let Alayna Martin and AJ Mallard run wild.
