Basketball Recap: York Country Day Extends Winning Streak to 18

York Country Day put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against Lancaster Country Day as York Country Day made off with a 64-40 win. York Country Day has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 15 matchups by 24 points or more this season.

York Country Day found their leader in sophomore Sincere Burgos, who almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine assists. Burgos is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last 15 games he's played. Isaiah White was another key player, going 6 for 7 on his way to 17 points.

York Country Day pushed their record up to 18-0 with the victory, which was their 11th straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.7 points per game. As for Lancaster Country Day, their loss dropped their record down to 9-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. York Country Day and New Covenant Christian will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest having both just played. As for Lancaster Country Day, they will take on Columbia at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
