McKinley hasn't had much luck against Alliance recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Bulldogs will head out to take on the Aviators at 5:00 p.m. Alliance took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on McKinley, who comes in off a win.
McKinley made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Firestone, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Bulldogs put the hurt on the Falcons with a sharp 9-3 victory on Thursday. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by six runs or more this season.
Hailey Smith was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out six batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 2-for-3. Those stolen bases marked the first that she snagged this season.

In other batting news, McKinley got a big performance out of Justice Morgan, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. McKinley was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .379. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Alliance was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against Field, falling 26-4.
Lily White was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
McKinley is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.8 runs over those games. As for Alliance, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.
McKinley might still be hurting after the 16-7 loss they got from Alliance in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Can the Bulldogs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
