With a playoff win on the line, Benedictine rose to the challenge on Friday. They strolled past the Cass Colonels with points to spare, taking the game 21-7. The win was nothing new for the Cadets as they're now sitting on nine straight.
Benedictine didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. Micah Williams led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by himself. Jayden Houston has been hot, having also posted seven or more total tackles the last five times he's played. Another thorn in Cass' side was Kameron Cody, who made ten total tackles (2.0 for loss).
Benedictine's victory bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Cass, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-3.
Benedictine wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, an 80-32 win against Central on the 28th. Cass does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
