Basketball Recap: Atlee Extends Road Winning Streak to Four

Atlee hadn't done well against Hanover recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Atlee Raiders took down the Hanover Hawks 59-44. Given the Raiders' advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 17th, while the Hawks are ranked 150th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Atlee's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-1. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 26.2 points. As for Hanover, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Atlee will take on Henrico at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Atlee knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Henrico likes a good challenge. As for Hanover, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Thomas Dale at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
