Basketball Game Preview: Wellston Golden Rockets vs. Westfall Mustangs

Wellston is on a five-game streak of home losses, Westfall a four-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck will change on Friday. Having just played yesterday, the Wellston Golden Rockets will get right back to it and host the Westfall Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with nine defeats in a row, Wellston turned things around against Meigs on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Marauders as they made off with a 48-24 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Golden Rockets have posted since December 9, 2024.

Meanwhile, Westfall narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Fairfield 46-44.

Wellston's victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-13. As for Westfall, their win bumped their record up to 8-9.
