Basketball Recap: Southland Comes Up Short

Southland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the O'Donnell Eagles. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against Southland this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 55-14 back in January.

Southland's loss dropped their record down to 3-13. As for O'Donnell, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-15.

Southland will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Crosbyton at 6:15 p.m. on February 11th. As for O'Donnell, they will challenge Wilson at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
