Football Recap: Sargent Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Sargent extended their losing streak to seven on Friday, dropping them down to 1-7. They were outmatched by the Dove Creek Bulldogs and fell 56-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Farmers of the 60-8 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Kyler Jones threw for 45 yards on three of seven attempts. Brysan Medina was his top target, picking up 38 receiving yards.

As for Dove Creek, the win got them back to even at 4-4. That 56 point margin sets a new team best for them this season.

Dove Creek had a senior duo take command as Nicholas Aragon gained 137 total yards and Josh Kibel rushed for 132 yards and one score on only eight carries. Kibel is becoming a predictor of the Bulldogs' success: when he posts at least 80 rushing yards the team is 2-1 (and 2-3 when he doesn't). Kycen Gritz also helped with two TDs in total.
