Softball Game Preview: Holliston Panthers vs. Westwood Wolverines

Holliston and Westwood are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2021, but likely not for long. The Panthers are taking a road trip to take on the Wolverines at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Wednesday, Holliston came up short against Ashland and fell 6-3. The loss continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Clockers: they've now lost three in a row.

Hanna Kaufman was huge no matter where she played even without the win. She tossed four innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off two hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one triple and two RBI. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season.

Kaufman wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Claire Radcliffe, who went 2-for-4 with one run.

Meanwhile, Westwood fell victim to Milton and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 9-0 to the Wildcats.

Holliston's record is now 1-5. As for Westwood, their record now sits at 1-6.

Holliston suffered a grim 8-1 defeat to Westwood in their previous meeting back in May of 2025. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
