Softball Preview: Holliston Panthers vs. Westwood Wolverines

Holliston and Westwood are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2021, but likely not for long. The Panthers are taking a road trip to take on the Wolverines at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Hanna Kaufman was huge no matter where she played even without the win. She tossed four innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off two hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one triple and two RBI. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season.

Kaufman wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Claire Radcliffe, who went 2-for-4 with one run.

Meanwhile, Westwood fell victim to Milton and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 9-0 to the Wildcats.

Holliston's record is now 1-5. As for Westwood, their record now sits at 1-6.
