East English Village Prep won the last time they faced Douglass, and Joe Tate did his part to make sure it happened again. East English Village Prep came out on top against the Douglass Hurricanes by a score of 67-57 on Tuesday thanks in part to Tate, who posted 33 points. Those 33 points gave him a new career-high.

The team also got some help courtesy of Mateo Hill, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds. He is becoming a predictor of East English Village Prep's success: when he posts at least eight boards the team is 3-1 (and 6-7 when he doesn't).

East English Village Prep now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Douglass, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-10.

East English Village Prep has already played their next contest, an 82-62 loss against King on the 7th. As for Douglass, they will head out on the road to face off against Chandler Park Academy at 7:30 p.m. on February 11th. One thing working in Douglass' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five matches.
