Soccer Game Preview: Alamance Christian vs. Gospel Light Christian

The Alamance Christian Warriors will challenge Gospel Light Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Alamance Christian's favor is that they have posted at least four goals in their last 12 matchups.

If Gospel Light Christian heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when Alamance Christian took over last week. The Warriors were the clear victors by a 9-2 margin over Liberty Christian on Friday. Considering Alamance Christian have won 15 matches by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, after soaring to four goals the game before, Gospel Light Christian was a bit more limited in their contest on Monday. They fell just short of Cramerton Christian Academy by a score of 1-0. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Gospel Light Christian came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 134th, while Cramerton Christian Academy is ranked 408th).

Alamance Christian's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 67 goals over those eight matches. As for Gospel Light Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 12-4.

Alamance Christian skirted past Gospel Light Christian 2-1 when the teams last played back in August. Will the Warriors repeat their success, or do Gospel Light Christian have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
