Marist came tearing into Thursday's contest with 13 straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the North Cobb Christian Eagles by a score of 2-0. The War Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-20.

Cora Thomas #16 paced Marist's offense, picking up seven kills. Thomas #16 got some help from Katie Elder and her 13 assists.

Despite the loss, North Cobb Christian saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ryan Chesser had ten digs and three assists.

Marist's victory bumped their record up to 22-3. As for North Cobb Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-14.

Marist didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Southwest DeKalb on the 20th. As for North Cobb Christian, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Union County at 5:00 p.m. on the 30th.
