Basketball Game Preview: Arthur-Okaw Christian Conquering Riders vs. Faith Christian Falcons

Having just played yesterday, the Arthur-Okaw Christian Conquering Riders will jump right back in to play the Faith Christian Falcons at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Arthur-Okaw Christian sitting on eight straight wins and Faith Christian on 28.

Arthur-Okaw Christian is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Maranatha Christian Academy, posting a 67-7 victory. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Meanwhile, Faith Christian humbled Victory Christian Academy with a 55-17 victory. The Falcons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 23 matchups by 23 points or more this season.

Arthur-Okaw Christian better keep an eye on Gwen Hodson. She was instrumental in Faith Christian's win, going 9-for-18 to rack up 23 points and three steals. With that strong performance, Hodson is now averaging an impressive 15.2 points per game. Violet Slagter was another key player, going 5-for-9 on her way to 11 points.

Faith Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in eight consecutive games.

Arthur-Okaw Christian pushed their record up to 24-5 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 19.3 points over those games. As for Faith Christian, their win bumped their record up to 33-2.

Arthur-Okaw Christian didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Faith Christian in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, but they still walked away with a 38-32 victory.
