Volleyball Recap: Helix Takes a Loss

Helix saw some tournament action on Friday. They fell just short of the Torrey Pines Falcons by a score of 2-1. The Highlanders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Helix started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-17, 15-8.

Joseph Jenkins paced Helix's offense, picking up seven kills. Jenkins got some help from Nicolas Reese and his 18 assists.

Helix's defeat dropped their record down to 15-14. As for Torrey Pines, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 24-6.

Helix didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Mt. Carmel on the 25th. As for Torrey Pines, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Steele Canyon on the 25th.
