Baseball Recap: West Vigo Extends Winning Streak to Three

West Vigo waltzed into their game on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Brown County Eagles a 10-0 shutout. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Vikings also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

West Vigo pushed their record up to 11-6 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Brown County, they are on a 17-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-11.

Looking ahead, West Vigo will head out on the road to challenge Sullivan at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Vikings 3.5, the Golden Arrows 3.6) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Brown County, they will host South Putnam at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. South Putnam has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed seven runs per game on average), something Brown County will no doubt try to take advantage of.
