Asheville Christian Academy had won four straight games and Caroline Simpson did her part to make it five on Saturday. The Lions came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Caldwell Academy Eagles thanks in part to Simpson, who had 20 assists and three aces. Simpson is crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 14 every time she's taken the court this season.

Asheville Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Caldwell Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.

Looking ahead, Asheville Christian Academy will face off against Brevard at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Caldwell Academy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Forsyth Home Educators on the 12th.
