Baseball Recap: Liberty Comes Up Short

Liberty managed to slip by Garces Memorial the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Patriots came up short against the Rams on Wednesday, falling 10-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Patriots have suffered since March 26th.

Liberty saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chance Gerecke, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Liberty has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 11 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-14 record this season. As for Garces Memorial, their record is now 11-12.

While Liberty had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
