Rock Hill came tearing into Friday's contest with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.6 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the McKinney Lions 3-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 9-5 on Wednesday.

Trevor Kruse spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up seven Ks.

At the plate, Anthony Gonzalez was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Carson Roy was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Rock Hill's win bumped their record up to 11-4. As for McKinney, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-18.

As of now, neither Rock Hill nor the Lions have any future games scheduled.
