Softball Recap: Lincoln Comes Up Short

Lincoln fell victim to Wakulla and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the War Eagles, falling 9-0. The Trojans haven't had much luck with the War Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Mirracle Williams was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

Lincoln's defeat dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Wakulla, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 14-3.

Lincoln wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 10-6 loss against North Florida Christian on the 22nd. As for Wakulla, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-2 draw against Gulf Shores on the 18th.
