Volleyball Recap: Niwot Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Niwot, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They put the hurt on the Riverdale Ridge Ravens with a sharp 3-0 win on Tuesday. The Cougars have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Ravens, too.

While Niwot won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-17, 25-22.

Jenu Ngialah paced Niwot's offense, picking up 18 kills. Ngialah got some help from Jasper Helgans and his 39 assists. Helgans was also solid from the service line: he led the team with two aces.

With the victory, Niwot broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 14-9. As for Riverdale Ridge, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-10.

Looking ahead, Niwot will take on Rampart at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Riverdale Ridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
