Basketball Recap: Princeton's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Princeton won against South Johnston on Wednesday with 56 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. The Bulldogs beat the Union Spartans by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 56-44. This was a revenge game for the Bulldogs: when they faced off against the Spartans two weeks ago, they had to take a 60-44 loss.

Leading Princeton to victory were Cameron Harrison and Evan Pate. Harrison went 8-for-19 on his way to 20 points along with six rebounds and four steals, while Pate almost dropped a double-double with 11 points and nine boards. Harrison is becoming a predictor of the Bulldogs' success: when he posts at least 15 points the team is undefeated (and 1-2 when he doesn't). Riley Misenis also deserves some recognition as he grabbed his first steals of the season.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Princeton, bringing their record up to 4-2. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.8 points over those games. As for Union, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Princeton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 64-54 defeat against North Johnston on the 9th. As for Union, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Midway at 7:30 p.m.
