Basketball Game Preview: Wade Hampton Generals vs. Riverside Warriors

The Wade Hampton Generals will head out to challenge the Riverside Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wade Hampton is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.

On Saturday, Wade Hampton was beaten by James F. Byrnes 74-25. While losing is never fun, the Generals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 174th, while the Rebels are ranked 28th).

Riverside has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 76-64 hit to the loss column at the hands of David Crockett on Tuesday.

Riverside's loss dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Wade Hampton, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.

Wade Hampton was able to grind out a solid victory over Riverside when the teams last played back in February of 2024, winning 68-61. Will Wade Hampton repeat their success, or does Riverside have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
