Basketball Recap: Idea Comes Up Short

Idea won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Wednesday. They were outmatched by the DC International Dragons and fell 70-33. The Timberwolves were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Dragons apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.

DC International's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jhalil Route, who went 9 for 15 on his way to 20 points and five assists. Route's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Moore, who posted 11 points in addition to seven assists and four steals.

Idea has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season. As for DC International, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-6.

Idea wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 56-53 loss against Ron Brown on the 21st. As for DC International, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 61-50 defeat against KIPP College Prep on the 20th.
