Baseball Recap: Hillsdale Extends Winning Streak to Three

Hillsdale barely beat Smithville the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Falcons never let the Smithies get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory on Friday. The win was familiar territory for the Falcons, who have now won three contests in a row.

Kael Lewis was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over five innings pitched. Lewis was also big at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with seven RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those four hits gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Kyle Turk was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. Deacon Boreman was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Hillsdale always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .586. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Hillsdale's record is now 14-8. As for Smithville, they dropped their record down to 3-15 with the loss, which was their eighth straight on the road.

As of now, neither Hillsdale nor the Smithies have any future games scheduled.
