Basketball Recap: Jellico Takes a Loss

Jellico was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a blow against the Clay County Bulldogs, falling 87-53. The Blue Devils were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 49-21.

Despite the loss, Jellico still got an impressive performance from Savannah Lay, who went 6-for-12 to rack up 20 points. Those 20 points gave Lay a new career-high. Kendall Osborn was another key player, going 6-for-9 en route to 12 points and seven boards.

Jellico's defeat dropped their record down to 2-23. As for Clay County, the victory got them back to even at 9-9.

Looking ahead, Jellico and Harriman will face off at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played. Clay County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
