While Saranac Lake's victory against Lake Placid wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Red Storm skirted past the Bombers 3-2. The Red Storm haven't had any issues with the Bombers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.
Saranac Lake took Lake Placid into a fifth set where they got it done with a eight-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 13-25, 25-9, 25-17, 19-25, 15-7.

Saranac Lake's win on Tuesday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Gracen Foster, who had 17 digs, eight kills, and eight aces. That's the most digs Foster has posted since October 2nd. Rori Chenaille-Schenk was another key player, getting 30 digs and three aces.
They weren't the only good servers: Saranac Lake was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 20 aces. They are 11-1 when they serve at least ten aces.
Lake Placid lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Ellie Shipman, who had 17 digs, five kills, and two aces. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ireland Cassidy, who had 12 digs, six kills, and three aces.
Saranac Lake's victory bumped their record up to 12-5. As for Lake Placid, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-13.
As of now, neither Saranac Lake nor the Bombers have any future games scheduled.
