Baseball Recap: Danville Comes Up Short

Danville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 18-1 to the Mediapolis Bulldogs. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Bears couldn't push the score so high this time.

Danville's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Mediapolis, their win was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Danville will challenge West Burlington at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Falcons' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Bears' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Mediapolis, they will square off against Burlington at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
