Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Silver Lake Regional walked away with it. They never let the Milton Wildcats get on the board and left with a 12-0 victory on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Lakers, who have now won 17 games by seven runs or more so far this season.

The win made it two in a row for Silver Lake Regional and bumps their season record up to 18-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 0 runs in those games. As for Milton, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Coming up, Silver Lake Regional will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Wakefield Memorial at 4:00 p.m. Milton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
