Soccer Game Preview: North Jackson vs. New Hope

The North Jackson Chiefs are taking a road trip to square off against the New Hope Indians at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: North Jackson has struggled recently with eight defeats in a row, while New Hope will arrive with four straight victories.

North Jackson is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They came up short against Sylvania last Thursday, falling 11-1.

Meanwhile, New Hope kept a clean sheet against Mae Jemison on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Jaguars. Considering New Hope have won nine matches by more than four goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

New Hope's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-4. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 61 goals over those seven contests. As for North Jackson, their loss dropped their record down to 0-8.
