Baseball Recap: Cascade Comes Up Short

Cascade was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 5-1 to the Philomath Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 20-0 on Monday.

Cascade saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cole Drager, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one RBI. That triple marked the first that Drager has hit this season.

Cascade's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Philomath, they pushed their record up to 14-2-1 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home.

While Cascade had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
