Baseball Recap: Kent-Meridian Comes Up Short

Kent-Meridian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They fell 8-4 to the Cleveland Eagles. The Royals were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2019.

Deandre Patrick made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in both of his plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Kade Cagampang, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Kent-Meridian's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Cleveland, their victory bumped their record up to 2-5.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Eagles beat Kent-Meridian by a score of 12-9 later that day.
