Soccer Recap: Halifax Academy Takes a Loss

Halifax Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 9-0 to the Rocky Mount Academy Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Rocky Mount Academy this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-0 back in March.

Halifax Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Rocky Mount Academy, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Halifax Academy will square off against Faith Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Rocky Mount Academy, they will take on Greenfield at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Rocky Mount Academy's defense better be ready for this one: Greenfield have averaged an impressive 3 goals per game this season.
