Abigail DeTelder leads a balanced attack to beat Granville Christian Academy

Recap: Shekinah Christian Flames vs. Granville Christian Academy

The Shekinah Christian Flames scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They enjoyed a cozy 45-28 victory over Granville Christian Academy. The victory was just what Shekinah Christian needed coming off of a 45-13 loss in their prior matchup.

Shekinah Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Abigail DeTelder led the charge by scoring 12 points. DeTelder set a new season high mark in points with 12. The team also got some help courtesy of Ruby Gossard, who scored six points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Granville Christian Academy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Isabel Hamilton, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hamilton has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Skyler Weekley, who scored six points along with seven rebounds and four steals.

Granville Christian Academy struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Shekinah Christian posted 11 assists.

Shekinah Christian's victory ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-3. As for Granville Christian Academy, their loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shekinah Christian will take on Madison Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Madison Christian will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Granville Christian Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Briggs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
