Baseball Recap: Pleasant Valley Drops Highest Score of Season Against Central Dewitt

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pleasant Valley). Everything went their way against Central DeWitt on Thursday as they made off with an 18-3 win. The result was nothing new for the Spartans, who have now won nine games by six runs or more so far this season.

Pleasant Valley's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 21-4. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Central DeWitt, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-12 record this season.

Pleasant Valley has already played their next match (against Central Clinton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Central DeWitt, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 5-0 victory against Maquoketa on the 27th.
