Basketball Recap: Ashland Comes Up Short

Ashland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 57-52 heartbreaker at the hands of the Barron Golden Bears. The Oredockers were not able to make up for their loss to the Golden Bears from their previous meeting back in February.

Ashland's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Barron, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Ashland wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 42-40 loss against Unity on the 6th. As for Barron, they will challenge Hayward at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
